Madi loved talking with you and Marcus yesterday. She thought it was so sweet that Marcus cried at the end. She sure misses both of you.
She's been doing really great. Had lots of WOW time this weekend. Church this morning was all about self control and seemed to fit right in with some topics we've talked with her about in the last few weeks. She really wants to try out the Wednesday night services. We just have to figure out how to make it work because Jeremy doesn't get home until about 6pm, it's a 20 minute drive to church, Jules goes to bed around 6:30, and church goes from 6:30 - 8:00pm. We've talked about it, but need to figure out how to make it work. Would be awesome for her.
Madi was very much looking forward to talking with you this morning. She tried calling you around 8ish or a little after. She started to cry at lunch because she was disappointed that you didn't call when you told her last night that you would. We told her that we're sure you have a reason and that it's possible that there wasn't power or that something came up. She asked if you guys were ok. We told her that if anything had happened, we had full faith that Poppi and Grammy would know. But that we were quite sure that both of you are safe and fine. She was very bummed to not talk with you today after looking forward to it when you said you would call between 7-8am. We told her we'd find out soon enough why you weren't able to call and that she'd hopefully get to talk to you again soon.
She really wanted hard boiled eggs and ramen for dinner so that is what she had. We've had a hard time keeping food in the house because all three girls are so hungry and growing. So I went online this afternoon and looked up some good snack ideas. So here's our snack menu for the week:
Mon - Yogurt parfaits with granola, strawberries and blueberries
That's the only one I have memorized :) The rest of the week is trail mix, pbj with bananas, chex mix, eggs, cheese and crackers, apples. Trying to add more variety as well as healthy options. Finding we were buying more chips and really trying not to. They'll also have celery and carrots with ranch. Got some banana chips and peanuts and granola bars. It is amazing how hard it is to plan for it, but how much better it is for the kids. And us so we don't have to think about it!!
Madi worked on her book report tonight and it's due on Tuesday. She did Fasttmath. And of course WOW. She's loving that!
