LEAP day and gym class day. Madi's class won the golden shoe award which means they get to have a "choose your game" day in gym. She's quite excited. She got two laps today in LEAP for groaning and complaining about how hard the work was. She did two sections of IXL and was fine. Hardly batted an eye at the decimal work.
Today was crazy. Full day teaching, tutoring fifth grade English until 3:35, piano students from 4-6:30 and all of them showed up, bath for Riley, prep for tomorrow.
Madi was all over the map today. I'm chalking it up to hormone changes. For example, one of the things was that she always hangs her coat in the coat closet. Has done this for months and has gotten really good about it with no reminders. Today she decided it belonged on the middle of the dining table which meant we couldn't start eating. So Jeremy put it in the living room and asked her to pick it up and put it away. So she took it upstairs on her bed. I put Riley's coat away and asked Madi where her coat was. She said that it was upstairs on her bed. When asked why it was up there, she had no idea. She brought it down and I asked where the outer section of the coat was. She said she had left it at school. When asked why she wanted it at school, she had no idea. There were so many examples of unexplained behavior tonight: Why is the shower curtain pulled back behind the toilet and very wet? - that was my favorite one. Very random. Answer: To see the whirlpool in the drain. :)
I truly believe that changes are coming. And expecting it to be any time now. All of the classic signs are there. I asked a friend of mine about how often her daughter takes a shower because Madi takes either a shower or bath (now that she's not having UTI issues) about three or four days a week. She said her daughter goes every other day. I said that Madi's hair was getting so oily and her teacher had made a comment to her about washing it and I was trying to figure out if we need to make room for another shower night. My friend said that her daughter's hair was also very oily so they are pulling it back even though she takes a bath every other night. I braided part of Madi's hair today to hide some of the oilyness. Don't want her feeling self-conscious about it, but don't want anyone to say stuff about it either. Had her use the T-gel tonight as well. And oily hair definitely means hormone changes. And I totally believe her "ummm.... huh?" moments from the afternoon/night are also a result of chemical changes. She's just a little blonde. But just a little. :)
