Good day today! She didn't get any laps for talking, got along well with her friends (from what I know) and seemed much happier today.
After school, we went to Stonebriar before picking up the girls. I had purchased two mannequins so that I could display some scarves and cowls and things on them at vendor fairs. Talbots is going out of business there so they called to tell me they were finished with them and I could pick them up. So we went in the store, but decided to check out Gap beforehand as my socks have a lot of holes and usually they have good sales. Well, they didn't have any sales on socks so I didn't buy any.
They did, however, have a great sale in the kids department on sweaters, dresses and long sleeve t's. Madi got a really cute cardigan with sequins at the bottom, a long wrap cardigan that has a tie at the waist, three long sleeve solid tees to go under things and a cute light green tee with a ruffle around it. She's grown so much in the past few weeks. Bought them a size bigger than she normally wears because she'll need the extra length. Plus we're hoping it'll give her some growing room so they'll last longer too.
We then got a few items for Jeremy and I at Eddie Bauer because they are going out of business. Then finally went to Talbots to pick up the mannequins. They don't have limbs or a head. Just fabric bodies and a round nub on top. At first I said that I would carry one of them and then we'd just come back for the second one, but Madi wanted to help carry one and said that she could lift it. We get out into the middle of the mall area and she didn't make it very far - about to the next store window :)
So I took both the Gap and Eddie Bauer Bags, my mannequin and the leg portion of her mannequin and carried them while she held onto the body portion of the second mannequin. She held the mannequin around the waist and had the back of the mannequin against her chest. That is until I looked over a little while later. We weren't parked far, but people were giggling as they passed. I looked next to me to see Madi holding one breast with each hand and carrying the mannequin by them. It looked hysterical!!! I just started giggling and laughing. I told Madi what she was doing and she changed it back to holding by the waist, but it wasn't that I cared. She hadn't really thought about it and I just thought it was hilarious. So we had a good laugh together.
Picked up the girls, got home, dinner. Madi really wanted to make ramen so she did and then I went out with some girl friends from church and Jeremy was incredibly sweet to put down all three girls.
