New Beginnings

This blog will be a collection of writings between a special girl, her mom, her aunt and other family members who want to add to it.  About a year ago, God moved on the hearts of Jeremy and I to see if Madison would like to live with us for a year while Monica finished school in the Philippines.  Madison, who is 10, has lived there for three years and was missing America terribly.  So plans began months ago for her to come over and here we are today.

Monica and Madison flew here a few weeks ago.  They've gone shopping, had playdates with new friends, spend time with Grammy and Poppi, went shopping again, and spent precious moments together.  I can not begin to imagine how tough it will be when Monica leaves in five days to return to the Philippines without Madison.  So we've set up this blog for everyone involved to keep in touch and to share events throughout the year.

A verse that I love:

Isaiah 43:19
Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.

Yes, God.  We do perceive it.  We see you doing new things.  And we are so grateful to be a part of it.  And thankful that You have made a way.

Monica - thank you for letting us influence your little girl and trusting us to help raise her this coming year.  It will be such a blessing for us and we hope it will also be a blessing for you and your family.  God has good plans. It's going to be an amazing journey!
