One of Madi's school assignments is to create and decorate a card/candy box for their Valentine's party on the 14th. We had some heart/pink fabric and my mom had some stickers and fun things that she could use to decorate the box. So my parents had a Madi day at their house all afternoon.
She was able to go hang out with them, watch Harry Potter with my dad and work on her box with my mom. And eat ice cream, cookies, chocolate milk and yummy foods too!! Not that the first ones listed aren't yummy! I just couldn't remember what the other foods were.
Her box is quite unique. She has a pull lever that allows you to get out the cards and candy that were dropped into the box at the top. She'll have to explain how she created it as I really have no idea how it was done. We just saw the final product. And it's totally awesome!!
We stayed home from church as the girls are still coughing and on the mend. They're happy, but still coughing, runny nose (as Julia says "I goh buggehs!!") and so tired from lack of sleep. In fact, Madi woke up this morning about 7:15. I woke up at 8:30, Riley and Jeremy about 8:45 and Jules didn't wake up until almost 10am!! Definitely not their usual nights of sleep. Just so thankful they are starting to feel better.
Madi and I did do a devotion from 1 Corinthians 16. Then read more of the book 'The Hunger Games.' Awesome book.
Tomorrow is back to work. Will feel strange to actually go to work after four days of being home with sick children. Will miss them terribly!!
